Weaver

Weaver, a muted gray community cat from the West Paris TNR Program, returned to colony

Weaver is a mysterious, muted gray West Paris TNR community cat with a wise stare and a haunted hush. A loner by nature, he took his time through the trapping process but came through it without issue. He was returned to the West Paris colony and is doing well.

Community cats like Weaver are often misidentified as strays or ferals when they are actually well-established members of managed colonies. Best Friends Animal Society documents how consistent colony management through TNR reduces conflict and improves outcomes for cats and communities alike. Weaver is a good example of that in practice.

Weaver came to us through the West Paris TNR Program. For more on stray cat law in Maine, see the Stray Cat Law in Maine post.
