Millie is a petite, intense West Paris TNR community cat who is always watching and always calculating. Not mean, just smart and tired. She was trapped, neutered, and returned to the West Paris colony where she is doing well.
Small, vigilant cats like Millie are often among the last to be trapped in a colony round because they read body language and recognize patterns quickly. The ASPCA recommends maintaining consistent feeding schedules during trapping periods to establish routine and reduce avoidance behavior in wary cats. Millie eventually came in on her own terms.
Millie came to us through the West Paris TNR Program. For more on stray cat law in Maine, see the Stray Cat Law in Maine post.
