Emberline

Emberline is a long-haired tortie from the West Paris TNR community cat colony. She came in with a watchful stare and a very careful posture, guarded and slow to settle. She was held for observation while we assessed her condition and determined next steps. Once she cleared that process she was returned to the West Paris colony, where she is doing well.

Emberline came to us through the West Paris TNR Program. This program is working to humanely manage the feral and community cat population in the West Paris village area. It uses methods like trap, neuter, and return. For more on how that program works and where it stands, see the full program post. For statewide context on community cat law in Maine, see the Stray Cat Law in Maine post.
