Bobbin is a fluffy orange West Paris TNR community cat with soft, round eyes and a gentle presence. A bit unsure but quietly curious, he was trapped, neutered, and returned to the West Paris colony where he is doing well.
Orange cats are almost always male, and unneutered males can roam large territories looking for mates, increasing their risk of injury, disease, and conflict with other cats and residents. The ASPCA notes that neutering male cats significantly reduces roaming behavior and the fighting and noise that comes with it. Bobbin stays closer to home now.
Bobbin came to us through the West Paris TNR Program. For more on stray cat law in Maine, see the Stray Cat Law in Maine post.
